Unfortunately, once an e-file has been sent, we cannot cancel or interrupt the transmission to the IRS.
In the case that you send a return and need to change information on it, you will need to wait for either the return to be rejected -in which case you can simply make the changes and resend -or accepted -which requires an amendment (1040X) to be paper filed with the changes.
