The RTN validation that UltimateTax uses is based on the validation check given to us by the banks for ACH deposits. Some deposit slips may not reflect the correct Routing Number that must be used for a valid ACH Deposit.
You may want to have the Taxpayer contact their bank to see if another number can be used.
