Unsupported Network Environments

We offer support for our users who have installed our software to any computer, regardless of manufacturer, that meets the minimum system requirements and is running a supported Microsoft® Windows® operating system natively, without virtualization, provided that they have a licensed copy of Windows installed on the computer.

Virtualization means using a simulated computer running Windows within another operating system, or within another Windows operating system. We do not support running UltimateTax software on virtualized Windows® machines; this is a violation of our License Agreement.

We do not support any UltimateTax product that is installed on any of the following operating systems or network types:

Wireless networks
Virtual Private Networks (VPN) or any other type of remote access system
Wide-Area Network (WAN)
Windows Terminal Server or other systems running Terminal services
Citrix systems
Virtual Networks/Servers
Virtual Machines (VMWare, Parallels for Mac, etc)
Macintosh OS X
Linux
Unix
Network Attached Storage (NAS)
Any other non-Windows based operating system
Any cloud-based environments (for example Amazon™ hosted)
Any cloud storage (Dropbox, OneDrive, etc)
Non-English language OS or language pack
ARM Processors (ex: Snapdragon or other QualComm, or Apple A or M chips)
Notes

Domain environments are not recommended and if an issue is determined to be related to the domain configuration itself, Technical Support cannot resolve such an issue.
We do not support any of our products on Windows Server Operating Systems when used as a workstation (i.e. opening the software directly on the Server OS). You can use a Windows Server Operating System as the file server.
