Converting your software means taking the return info from another software provider (ATX, CrossLink, Drake, etc.) and converting the data to UltimateTax, allowing you to keep all your work from your previous software without losing a step! Note: We do not offer conversion utilities for TurboTax or H&R Block software.
To convert, you will need a few things first. You will need the UltimateTax software version that matches the year you want to be converted. For example, you would need UltimateTax 2018 to convert data for 2018 returns. You can find the prior year's software by contacting us at 563.387.8900 or logging into your MyUltimateTax.com Customer Portal.
Secondly, you will need the actual conversion tool. You can also find this on your MyUltimatetax site by clicking on Support after logging in.
After clicking on Support, you will look for an icon with two revolving arrows labeled Conversions.
After you've clicked Conversions, you will be shown a list of all available conversion download links, as well as a readable guide for each.
NOTE: Please be sure to go over the directions of each conversion utility very closely, as the process involved for each program is typically very different. Also note that 100% of information will not convert due to the disparity between programs, so ensure that all information on the returns post-conversion is accurate. Each conversion guide shows what is brought over from the program.
