Sch M (706) - Bequests, etc. to Surviving Spouse

What is the form used for? :

  • The marital deduction is authorized by section 2056 for certain property interests that pass from the decedent to the surviving spouse. You may claim the deduction only for property interests that are included in the decedent’s gross estate (Schedules A through I).

How to access the form: To access the form, you will need to open a 706 return on the desktop and then go to Add Form/Display, and type 706 M.

Limits to the form: This form can only be accessed from the desktop software. This form cannot be copied.
