Identity Theft Protection PIN

If your client has an IRS-issued Identity Protection PIN, you should enter it on the Main Information page of the return. This field is located below the section where the taxpayers' PINs are entered to authorize you to e-file their returns.

Note: If the PIN was issued to the spouse and not to the primary taxpayer, switch the information on the return so the taxpayer is the spouse and the taxpayer with the PIN is the primary taxpayer on the return.

This information applies to all years of the UltimateTax software.
