What is the form used for? :

Use this form if you must recapture part of the low-income housing credit you claimed in previous years because:

• The qualified basis decreased from one year to the next, or you disposed of a building or your interest therein. 
• You did not follow the procedures that would have prevented the recapture of the credit.

How to access the form: To access the form, you will need to open a 1040/Business return on the online/desktop and then go to Add Form/Display and type 8611.

Limits to the form: The business variant of this form can only be accessed from the desktop software. This form cannot be copied.
