What is the form used for? :
Form 982 is used to determine, under certain circumstances described in section 108, the amount of discharged indebtedness that can be excluded from gross income.
Is the form supported in our program? The 982 form is supported by the Desktop and Online platforms of UltimateTax. All packages also support this form.
How to access the form: While in a return, use the Add Form function to add a new "982" form to the return.
Limits to the form: This form is available in all packages and platforms. This form may also be copied as needed.
